The Peace Resolution
(TM)
Whereas open trade between the
U.S. and Canada is every-growing and has resulted in a sustained peace between
those two nations;
Whereas Russia and China have an economic
reliance which has sustained peace between those two nations;
Whereas the Soviet Union and Cuba were peaceful and had trade between
those two nations;
Whereas the U.S. and France have an enduring
peace, despite conflict over Iraq policy, as a result of economic ties;
Whereas Israel and Jordan are enjoying a growing peace between
the two nations which is continually building and strengthened via open trade;
and whereas the economies of both Israel and Jordan are growing with their
new-found friendship and economic cooperation;
Whereas all
nations sharing peace have economic cooperation and nations at war do not have
economic cooperation, and whereas boycotts have historically only resulted in
further strained relations between nations;
Therefore, be it
resolved that economic cooperation is a key element to peace. As such, we
encourage trade and economic cooperation between all world nations in the
support of and furtherance of global peace. |
